Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony is a Dead Scene EP REVIEW

what happens when you mix melodic hardcore/grind, amazing instrument playing and possibly one the greatest vocalists to ever enter the music industry? You get Irony Is A Dead Scene, the new E.P. from the Dillinger Escape Plan. But not only that they added an extra ingredient into this soup called music, they put the famous (and infamous) Mike Patton on vocals, whose work differs from his noise-metal band Fantomas, from his often pop orientated music done with Jennifer Charles and Dan the automator on Lovage. Irony Is A Dead Scene consists of 4 tracks of destruction, plain and simple, Technically difficult to play metal and hardcore that we haven't heard in a long time, every track on this album is amazing its impossible to single one out saying its the best. One of the highlights of this album is their great cover of the Aphex Twin's "Come To Daddy", but as I said, the albums to great to single out one song. Their needs to be more music like this out on the streets, this is in my top 5 of the year, easily.
